This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

To achieve inherent server stability, the server application should under no circumstances use up all available system resources, in order to allow all running processes to finish successfully. The server application should never have to be stopped and restarted to regain availability because it has run out of system resources. If necessary, new requests are to be denied with a HTML standard "503 Service Unavailable" error status, accompanied by a logfile entry that documents the kind of request, originating IP, time and date, and details about the root cause of denial (i.e. the user has to request/start the desired action again). Once the resource shortage has ended, the server shall again accept all requests.
The system resources that this should apply to are CPU, RAM, Java Heap, file handles, NIO memory, network bandwidth, and all other countable system resources.
This applies to all ELM applications incl. CCM, RQM, DNG, AM, GC, LDX, LQE, DCC, JRS, JTC, JAS.
Note: this may be based, but does not have to be limited to, the so-called expensive scenarios identified so far.
