When a port is moved from one element to another, connectors should move with it

When two ports are connected via a link or flow and one of those ports is moved to a completely different element, the connector should be updated automatically, along with any diagram it appears on. For example, if BlockA and BlockB are connected with a link between ports and the port on BlockA is moved to BlockC, the connector (flow, link etc) should update to connect the port on BlockB to the port on BlockC. Any diagram that featured the connector (that previously connected BlockA to BlockB) should be updated to show the same connector now connecting BlockB to BlockC.

Right now, the connector either disappears from Rhapsody after moving the port or it remains in the browser as an orphaned model element.

    Hi,

Thank you for your request regarding the automation of moving a port between classes/blocks.
After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to provide an automation for this specific task.

The primary reason is that moving a port between classes or blocks does not offer sufficient information to determine
which instance of the class the connection should be made to.
This ambiguity makes it challenging to automate the process accurately.

We recommend exploring other approaches to address the requirement
or providing additional details for further assessment.

Please feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss alternative solutions.

    We appreciate your understanding.

    Regards,
    Suneel...
