This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

Hello IBM team,
When using Rhapsody in C, it is possible to add inheritance from interfaces within classes. As long as these interfaces are not reactive interfaces, meaning they do not contain event receptions, multiple inheritances from different interfaces can be defined within a class, and code can be generated accordingly.
However, if a class inherits from more than one reactive interface, the model checker reports an error, stating that this is not supported in Rhapsody in C.
This behavior may be correct for Rhapsody in C when the underlying OXF framework is used. However, when using the RXF framework provided with Rhapsody, it is indeed possible to inherit from multiple reactive interfaces. Unfortunately, this specific model checker is a fixed component of Rhapsody and cannot be disabled for code generation (Even when it is disabled in the configuration).
As developers of the RXF, we have received multiple inquiries from customers across the railway, automotive, and defense industries regarding this issue. Removing this restriction would provide significant value.
It would be very helpful, if the model checker for multiple inheritance of reactive interfaces could also be disabled when triggering the code generation.
Thank you,
Michael
