Option to show most recent result against a QM linked test case

When trying to understand testing progress against requirements, currently if linking requirements to test case it shows the highest severity test result that exists against that test case as the marker on the requirement in DOORs. This doesn't make sense in many testing strategies, as Iterations are used to denote a new phase of testing which is superseding the old test. If the new round of testing passes, this is not reflected visually against the requirements and leads to confusion.
It would be good to have an option in the DOORs application to select the most recent or the highest severity result against a test case to be the marker against the requirement it is linked to.
