Artifact's Default User interface is mostly taken over by "Primary Text"

Default Artifact User interface is mostly taken over by "Primary Text"

If you are not using "Primary Text" to represent your main body of content, this is a major loss of productivity!

Alternative proposals:

  • Allow user to configure, which field should take the maximum space by default on the UI

  • Remove "Primary Text" from the default UI

  • Render content from other configured fields onto the "Primary Text" User interface, such that all important content for the artifact is viewable by the users in the main part of the UI

  • Other "ideas" are welcome!

In DOORS Next v7.1, it is now possible to configure the sidebar width in the artifact editor.
The new com.ibm.rdm.fronting.web.artifactSidebarDefaultWidth advanced property for RM servers can be used to set the width of the artifact sidebar in the artifact editor. Users can set the percentage of the artifact sidebar width to the overall window width. The default value is 20 percent. Users can still manually adjust the width.
