Possibility to cache report results to display them on dashboards without the need for another query execution

Reports created in ReportBuilder can become complex with respect to their logic and scope size which often leads to execution times >10min. In case multiple of such queries are put on one and the same dashboard tab, execution times get even worse. However, in most of the cases users do not require report results in real time. Instead they would be satisfied if they could see the last query result that has been executed e.g. by a daily schedule. Caching the last report result to quickly display it on dashboards would drastically reduce load on LQE caused by automatically triggered query executions by each dashboard refresh. Results from scheduled reports are already made available in ReportBuilder's results section. However, they can only be downloaded manually. Hence, two features would be beneficial: 1) A way to display already available query results (or at least the latest one) on dashboards 2) An API to fetch already available query results via API in order to supply them to other solutions for graphical data visualization

Report caching is implemented to allow setting report result timeout for each report as part of 7.0.3 M25. This would allow reducing the load on LQE caused by automatically triggered query executions. for example by each dashboard refresh.

JRS idea/RFE review board evaluated this request and it is accepted as an uncommitted candidate. In the meantime, JRS team suggestion would be to take advantage of better report management on a dashboard by keeping a tab with reports open.
