Extend CMDB Discovery to IBM Automation Products - especially Instana and Turbonomic

Maintaining CMDB configuration items (CI) in Maximo IT manually is a time consumung process that may introduce errors. An automated discovery and maintenance of CIs would be benefitial. Maximo IT provides integrations for several products e.g. TADDM (including relationships and topologies). With more agile application landscapes, new discovery possibilities exist. It is expected that Maximo IT would at minimum provide integrations into the configuration management for the IBM Automation owned technologies: Instana, Turbonomic and Sev1 (Network CIs). Integration into Maximo IT is expected via existing integration framework mechanisms (e.g. MIF) available in MAS, similar to TADDM integration. Integration scope should be able to be defined on the Maximo side.

    Please be advised, both Turbo and Instana can be connected to Maximo IT with https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/max-it/cd?topic=products-integrating-webhooks

    enabling alerts or alerts and assets.

    This work is now set to begin design for delivery in the coming release or months. We have solved the Webhooks issue and will deliver these out of cycle if possible.

    Instana and Turbonomics are in plan. Dependency exist that Manage/MAS support webhooks. Thus support must come first.
