This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Thank you for the great idea. At this time we will not be implementing time sheet capabilities in Maximo IT as an add on in the Maximo Application suite, time tracking is managed via change and work orders. which is where an IT person would record time for Devops like work. If time tracking is desired on SR it can also be recorded.
It is more likely to track time in HR systems with integrations.
Record Actual Labor on Work Orders
This is the canonical and most accurate approach.
Where
Change and Work Order Tracking app
Actuals tab → Labor sub‑tab
What is recorded
Who did the work (Labor / Craft)
When it was done (date, start/end time or hours)
How many hours were worked
Regular vs premium hours (optional)
IBM documentation:
“To track the actual labor hours required to complete work, report labor on the Actuals tab of the work order.” [ibm.com]
Why this is best
Directly ties labor to:
Work order cost
Asset cost history
Maintenance KPIs
Keeps planning vs actual comparison clean
Aligns with scheduling, metrics, and reporting
