Simplify investigation with JSON-based integration logging

At the time of this writing, July 28, 2024, we do not have a logger for JSON-based integration logging. As a result, we must completely rely on Integration logger.JSON based integration has gained popularity due to best practices and ease of design and implementation. More and more clients and external systems that Maximo can integrate with offer JSON based integration. Unfortunately, Maximo Manager does not offer any loggers for JSON based configurations in the system. The result is that we receive a great deal of information in the log file while investigating any issue, but very little or no granular information regarding JSON.This makes investigation of critical issues difficult. We must then rely on the Product team. This increases the workload of the IBM product team.It would be beneficial to add a JSON logger to Maximo Manage in order to simplify this process.

All details on this case TS016650153. Issue is with run time data causing issues around JSON Mapping. However, if you see the DEBUG log for Integration, it doesn't go beyond certain class files. This error is completely misleading.

Root cause is different than what Error states. The developer who was on the call with me, also agreed for JSON logging and that where he advised me to submit the case for RFE.

Even JSON Resouces application logger doesn't write run time errors in JSON Mapping for Integrations into Log.

Please advise what information you are looking for? Today OOB, Maximo provides JSON mapping-based GIS integration. Any run time issue with JSON based mapping is not displayed in log even if you turn ON Integration logger to DEBUG or related CRON loggers to INFO/DEBUG.
