Provide PM Option to Calculate Next Due Date from Last Completion Date of a Different PM

Currently, Maximo provides the option to calculate the PM next due date based on the frequency criteria and either the last completion date or last start date of the same PM. We have a common requirement to set the due date of one PM based on the completion date of a different PM. For example, lubrication may be due 30, 60, and 90 days from part installation. While it is possible to set these PMs in a parent/child relationship, that causes all of them to generate together at the same time with the wrong due date for the children (because the parent completion date is unknown at the time of generation). Satisfying this request should only require a checkbox and class code to enable the option and a field to specify the source PM for the last completion date which is already stored in the database.

While this is not on our development radar, we are working to provide an automated script to address this for the customer.

Agreed. A table of PMs with conditions would be the more flexible option.

Rather than a checkbox and a field on the target, it might be better for each PM to have a table of PMs that should get generated when this one completes. Each row in the table should have an optional condition that must evaluate to true for the PM to generate.
