Maximo aligns ad-hoc report text fields to the right, instead of to the left.

That's different from most software platforms. Other programs like Excel, MS Access, and SQL clients align text to the left -- for easy reading and to differentiate text columns from number columns.
The right-alignment in ad-hoc reports makes it difficult to read text fields. Especially text fields that are hierarchical:
Classification hierarchy path
Asset or location hierarchy path
GL Account
Even a simple text field like a DIVISION field would be easier to read if it were left-aligned.
Could IBM give us the option to make text fields align-left in ad-hoc reports?

Thank you for your submission. There are no plans in the next several releases to address this behavior.
Make any non-decimal datatype field align left and let any decimal data type field align right. That would take care of 99% of the times I've had to go into a ad-hoc report and change field alignment.
