Hello.
Hope you are well.
Customer may have multiple network cards for their servers, meaning the server may respond to diffrent IPs. The reason for that is customer will have different restriction policies and rules for the access from these different IPs.
For instance, for IBM CDS provisioned servers we have an IP for internal / local use and other for public use. The internal is for CDS support to login in to serves via ssh and do all configuration and this is not accessible by customers or public access at all. The other IP is public one and can only access the application or sFTP connection, it cannot open sessions in Windows. This helps us to protect environetn from unwanted access.
With the above saind, depending on the Linux rules the IBM TRIRIGA Admin Console -> Agents page will come with the first IP made available for use and populate it in the Active Servers -> Address section. After us migrating to RHEL Linux 7 it presents the internal/local IP first instead of the public one and this is not useful information to customers once they cannnot connect directly to the TRIRIGA JVMs using that IP at all. This was not the rule for RHEL Linux 6.
We would like to suggest new releases coming with a TRIRIGAWEB.properties parameter that will rule this information showing up in this page. INSTANCE_IP may be its name and we need to feed it with the IP we want to be presented to the IBM TRIRIGA Admin Console Agents page instead by using the new parameter value for populating the agent_registry table address / IP in the system.
Kindly let us know.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for submitting your Idea. We think this is a good idea and will target this for inclusion in a future release.
