Cross-Application Global Configuration Component Creation

It would be nice to have a central place to create new components and streams across multiple applications (RM, QM, CCM) to build into a global configuration, especially for projects/industries where systems have many components.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.
    Please note that GCM is driven by the OSLC specification which defines how GCM interacts with OSLC compliant applications. Another route to take would be to introduce the desired behavior into the OSLC specification. This would drive adoption by OSLC providers such as GCM.

    I imagine it being created from the GC application... i.e. if I create a new global component/configuration, I can choose to automatically create a new local component/stream in one or more of RM, QM and EWM apps at the same time, associated with the global configuration I created.

    In most instances, if I'm creating a new component in any of the applications, I'm manually repeating this across all the applications and pulling them together in the GC app.

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. In order for us to understand your needs and scope potential solutions, could you please provide more detail of the use case you're looking to enact? We're looking for what steps you envision someone going through to create a new component for an arbitrary application and adding it to a new or existing global configuration within a single view or location. For example, do you envision this being a new separate view outside of any of the ELM applications, or would it be a common view available in each application?
