Use a GitHub supported workitem pattern in git commit message

EWM supports following patterns in the Git commit message to denote a reference to a EWM workitem:
workitem
task
rtcwi < Work Item ID>
bug
defect
Based on the pattern, links to workitems get created and a browser extension (which is broken meanwhile) can generate hyperlinks to the referenced workitems.

GitHub supports a different pattern that is comprised of a per-repository defined prefix and the workitem id, see attachment 935.
There are some restrictions for the Prefix: There Reference prefix must begin with a letter, Reference prefix must not end with a number, and Reference prefix must only contain letters, numbers, or -:/
Based on the pattern, GitHub can display hyperlinks to the according workitems in EWM ("Autolink references" Feature).

A pattern shall be defined which is supported by all tools.

I would also love to see this being fixed since it would make the integration between IBM EWM and Github so much more seamless and robust. A good integration of the used tools became a strong argument for or against a certain toolchain.

without this little change loads of manual backreferences to our github stuff would emerge and our effectiveness and support to migrate away from Jira might starve ? I hope we get more customers on board with increased digestabillity for github power users. Good luck.
