Tivolli RDS is extermely old, difficulit to setup and has poor support available from IBM (it has taken over 6 months to work out how to get it to work in our environment because of the poor deloployment architecture of Tivolli RDS).

Given that it performs a relatively minor role to play in the DOORS experience it would be infinitely better if it were to use a common authentication mechanism (such as the Jazz Authentication Server) to do the authentication of users.

The RDS does hold other user information but this should be able to be managed in a different way.

Using Tivolli RDS with DOORS is like using Mac Truck to move a wheel barrow.

    For us, we never used RDS as it is too complex, too admin intensive, too many additional Software, poor updated and simple not useful.

    So I can only agree to retire RDS :)
