Requesting Customer: Fraser Property but this would benefit all customers using Envizi Power BI capability
Business Impact: The Frasers Property Team have recently explored the use of the embeded PowerBI functionality and have found that there are a number of limitations from the embeded version to the desktop version. They have requested that the Product team explore options to have functionality that will align with the desktop version and hence give them greater use of the tool and using it as the single source of truth for their reporting.
The overall impact would be that all clients would end up using the desktop version and hence not being dependent on the Envizi solution. Having this capability will make the clients more sticky to our solution. Current gap allows our clients to become reliant on an external system for reporting rather than leveraging Envizi platform. The alternative will be extracting data out of Envizi and then using external desktop PowerBI due to the limited capability and lack of alignment between the two.

I would like to bring attention back to this Idea. This was marked as future consideration over a year ago and I was curious if there is a plan in place to build this in the pipeline. If so, when can this Idea be expected to be accessible in the platform? Thanks!
I completely understand your frustration with the current embedded interface, and I empathize with your experience. Rest assured, we are actively working on improving the situation.
I'm pleased to share that we have plans in motion to provide users of Envizi with access to PowerBI Desktop. We are starting this initiative with our consulting teams, and then gradually expanding it to our partners. While the timeline for extending this access to clients is not yet defined, we are committed to exploring that possibility in the future.
As we make progress on this development journey, we will ensure that the roadmap is updated accordingly. Your feedback and patience are greatly appreciated as we work towards unlocking PowerBI Desktop access and enhancing the overall user experience within Envizi.

Please see the list below for the key limitations. Most of them are functions that come with PowerBI Desktop.
Power Query function not available
Analytics function not available
Unable to get external templates/charts via “Get More Visuals”
@stephen roster @ana feshina: Customers are bringing forward this feature gap. Please review.
