Conditional Expression Manager support for multiple-clause SQL

When creating a conditional expression, we expect OR evaluation to work for complex SQL clauses.  We are finding that the SQL must be split into multiple conditions in order for the OR logic to function.  SQL is a declarative language so evaluations to TRUE or FALSE should be easy enough to parse.

Steps to reproduce:

1.Create conditional in Conditional Expression Manager with the following clause.

failurecode is null or (problemcode is not null and exists (select 1 from failurereport where wonum=:wonum and siteid=:siteid and type = 'CAUSE'))

2.Apply conditional expression to a work order status on WOSTATUS domain, for example INPRG

3.Create a work order without a failurecode and set status to approved (APPR)

Expected result:

Status INPRG should display on the status list because the condition is met.  The conditions are: 1. workorder.failurecode is null, or 2. workorder.problemcode and cause (on failurereport object for the given work order) are both populated.

Actual result:

Status INPRG is not displayed in the change status list, even though workorder.failurecode is null

Thank you for your submission. There are no plans to address this case in the next 12-18 months. There are alternative ways of implementing, through scripts for one.
