Maximo Mobile App - Input validation behavior in Lookup related fields

Hi IBM,


Currently for lookup related fields like Asset or Location in create workorder page or any other similar fields having lookup in any other pages in any Mobile application, user can enter any random input manually and click on SAVE. Here, mobile does not validate the value entered whether it exists in Preloaded DB or on the server.


e.g. ASSET field. User can put 12345abcd value and click on save new workorder, though it does not exist in preloaded db or in the core Maximo. and here user will see the error in cloud icon only once it synchronizes with the server.


Looking for some way to control this validation whenever user enters any input in lookup related fields in Mobile app as soon as user moves on to another field or during saving itself. User should not wait for the error to appear on cloud icon to know that user did something wrong in previous steps. May these validations should be controlled via new system properties, so customer admin team can control which fits better for their business scenario.
