More Options to set up Preventive Maintenance Calendar Based Frequencies

The ability to set calendar frequencies define by general days, allowing organizations to have a more specific plan based on unconventional shifts or compulsory regulated frequencies. Some examples include:

a) Trigger the X day of every X months, example:

Trigger the 15 day of every 3 month

b) Trigger the X "day of the week" of every X months, example:

Trigger the 1st Monday of every 6 months

c) Trigger the last day of every X months, example:

Trigger the last day of every 3 months

Erika - While I am grateful for the effort invested in submitting this idea, I do not foresee its implementation within the next twelve months, and therefore I am unable to endorse it presently. Please feel free to resubmit it at a later time. Accumulating support from other customers may enhance its prospects for promotion. Thank you once more for your contribution.

Hi Ed, looking at my notes and after speaking to the business, we have a good case when a specific day of the month regardless of the actual frequency is required for certain inspections.

Vehicles are booked for emission inspections on the day 15 of every 2 months, if we try to get this exact trigger date it won't work using regular frequency as some months has more or less days than others, so using calendar frequency of 60 days may fall on different calendar day that is not the 15th day of the month.

Hi Ed, thanks for looking at this idea.

I will gather some clean notes from the business and share them with you.

In summary they are looking for similar options as they exist for schedule reports for example, so they make sure when is the next day on the calendar that the PM will trigger, Another use is to avoid non business days , so the work order is not trigger on those days.

we can set up a call to work in this together :)

I am always interested in gathering business cases for calendar-based PM schedules. What is important is that I understand the business cases behind such functional requests. It would be great if you could share the business cases here - or send them to me directly at edjones@us.ibm.com. Thank you for your input! Ed
