Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Allow fields with lookup values to be added to an Inspection Form

Inspection forms currently do not support questions with lookup values.

We would like to request inspection forms to have support for question with lookup values, whereby those values would be displayed in a separate dialog with the ability to search instead of displaying in the actual form.

We have forms with questions user may choose from up to 120 answers. The "Single Choice" field is not going to suit in this case since it will display all the 120+ values below the question, which would cause a terrible usability experience.

In the screen shot you can see it displaying 12 (of 120), so you can imagine how much scrolling is needed to see the whole list and not have the ability to search

We also tried using a CHARACTERISTIC meter reading associated with a domain but that yields the same experience (all showing in the current screen)
