X-Marks the Spot (XMTS) – Identify via a map where the work order is spatially located

• Given the XMTS scenario is to plot the work order actual location, the initial map should be the device location rather than the current work order feature location (which can be completely wrong for CM work raised in call centre).

• The solution should allow the selection of the spatial feature (and for non-point-based assets the place on the feature) that was worked on. This information should be available on the mobile device and in Maximo desktop.

• The solution should store this information independently of any linked Work Order feature class and its spatial data.

• It would be ideal for the technician if there was a method to filter/prioritise the feature list during selection based on the context of the work order. For example, if the work order is to fix a valve, filter to features that represent valves.

• It would be ideal for the technician if there was a method to hint at the zoom level that should be default used when displaying the map for XMTS.

The ability of adding/updating the work order location from the map is planned for a future release and tracked in a separate idea. I'll close this one for now.
