Publishing of Diagrams (current policies available from rhapsody)

All the available 3 ways have considerable drawbacks:

1. Manual: obviously easy to forget by developers

2. OnDeliver: requires that Rhapsody is still running when doing the deliver. For integrated server use cases - in which the change set is intended to also contain e.g. code changes - this cannot be guaranteed.

3. OnClose: basically, has the opposite problem to OnDeliver: this would push diagrams to the server that are inconsistent as the change sets containing the model change is not yet delivered.

4. Diagrams need to be published to RMM without the Rhapsody client being involved.

    Hi,

    It's not possible to publish diagrams without Rhapsody. Rhapsody is the only one that knows to create the updated images.

    Our recommendation is to establish a nightly publishing procedure that will be responsible to update all modified diagrams on server.
    There are Rhapsody command line command and Java API commands for this:

    Package.updateContainedDiagramsOnServer()

    -update_view_on_server
