2. Provide user-specific Properties for Projects and Folders like for users.

Similar as ‘set( User Property)’ on Page 246 of the DXL Reference Manual, the functionality shall exist for DOORS Projects and Folders (and (Link-)Modules as-well) to be able to tag this kind of data in DOORS as-well and optimize the handling, management and performance of the usage.

I.e. we do have thousands of DOORS Projects which needs to be maintained/tagged for several reasons (i.e. migration, status, archiving, analyzing, etc.) and I need to find other complex ways (files, central modules, configArea, …) of handling this. Therefore, storing the Properties directly inside the Projects “definition/location” helps is the most clear and performant way to maintain and usage in the age of modern Software.

Example syntax: bool set( Project p, string attribute, string value) => returns true if successful, otherwise false.

Example usage:
print set( current Project, “Project last Archived”, “2024-05-23 01:02:42”);   // => true
print get( current project, “Project last Archived”);                                                     // => “2024-05-23 01:02:42”

Of-course, the Properties data must be included in DOORS-Project archives 😊
