Limit Artifact Type Pick List as a Function of Mod Artifact

The type system URIs associated with two artifacts must be present to support linking, cloning and copying. This constraint encourages creating a superset type system. Type systems that support four or more levels of abstraction and want to impose link constraints must add a prefix to common requirement types like "functional" and "performance" in order to make them unique to apply the constraint. Artifact types proliferate: we now have 87 in one type system. A subset of artifact types apply to one module template but no others. The artifact type pick list when adding an artifact now displays extraneous artifact types which confuses the user community.

Please display artifact types in artifact pick list as a function of module artifact type

As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The IBM Engineering team has carefully reviewed this idea, and based on our understanding, it does not fit our near-term plans. Although we are closing this request, it will be kept in IBM's ideas repository.  We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us to partner with you in developing our products.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Internet of Things
Product family - Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM)
Product - IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next (formerly DOORS Next Generation- DNG)
    Component - Feature

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

We already reduce the number of types available for artifact creation in a module to restrict it to the preferred data types. There is still an option to say "Other" and then you see all the types.

Is this enhancement simply asking for an option for the "other" option to be removed? i.e. "Enforce artifact types in a module of a defined type to be restricted to the preferred artifact types for that module type
