The option to "Change Artifact Type" does not honor Link Restrictions of the new artifact type so there should be a warning to manually update Links after changing the artifact type.

End User Perspective: "DNG should prevent us from changing an artifact to a new type if it has links that violate link restrictions in the new type. I was able to change (a certain) artifact that was driving Req artifacts to (another artifact type). The links remained. It should have told me it couldn't change the artifact type due to existing link constraints."

Ideally block changing the Artifact Type if Link Constraints are violated in the new Artifact Type.  However, a warning or a reminder message to check links for violation of constraints would be a welcomed improvement, if the block cannot be easily put into the product.
