DNG artifacts removal without warning about existing links to RTC causing back link warning in RTC

Scenario: A DNG artifact within a module was linked to a RTC work item. The DNG artifact was removed from the module before the link to RTC was removed. Then an user tried to remove the link from the RTC work item but the tool was not able to find the link because the artifact was removed from the module. User received a back link warning as the DNG artifact no longer exists. Users often do not know how to proceed. Suggestion: The tool should not allow an artifact that has links associated with it to be removed without prompting the users to either remove the links first or ask if it is ok to remove the links before removing the artifact from the module. This eliminates confusion later on and improves usability.

We continue to encounter this issue where it seems users remove artifacts from module without regard to incoming links (module-scoped) being broken. This can also happen when deleting an artifact with incoming base or module links.
