New DNG Advanced ReqIF Export option: Enable or disable "Export empty attribute value as explicit empty value".
The behavior shall be as follows:
If option is disabled: Same export behavior as current behavior, i.e.
For artefacts where an attribute value is empty (and the attribute is being exported):
The corresponding SPEC-OBJECT does not contain any value for the attribute
I.e. the attribute is "implicitly" empty
Attribute is part of the SPEC-OBJECT-TYPE definition, but does not have a value for a SPEC-OBJECT => implicit meaning: attribute is empty for that SPEC-OBJECT
If option is enabled:
For artefacts where an attribute value is empty (and the attribute is being exported):
The corresponding SPEC-OBJECT contains a value for the attribute: "" (i.e. empty)
I.e. the attribute is "explicitly" empty
DNG shall also make this DNG option available via the DNG OSLC API. The corresponding DNG OSLC API shall be public and documented.
Some ReqIF Import tools do not import "implicit" empty values as exported by DNG as empty values. Some import the values as the default / initial values of the corresponding attribute.
To ensure that empty values are guaranteed to be imported correctly, DNG ReqIF Export should enable the user to export empty values as explicit empty vlaues.
