Enhance the Records Cost Audit Report to be able to search by duration.

The Records Cost Audit report is based on the record's end date.  As you know, footprints are almost exclusively for calendar year periods. However, this report as currently built will not provide all the records that are necessary to review the 2022 footprint.  I wish to see all records which contributed towards the selected calendar year footprint.  

This functionality does exist as, for example, the annual/monthly data summary report does include only the consumption/emissions for the selected time period. Is it possible to enhance the Records Cost Audit report or create a new report (maybe a Records Data Summary Report) so that it will include all records with start/end dates across the selected time period? Instead of simply searching for records with end dates during the selected duration. First, it needs to include any records with start dates in the selected duration (for example starting in 2022). Second, while less likely, it needs to include any records with start dates prior to the selected duration but ending after the selected duration (for example starting in 2021 but ending in 2023).

I hope this makes sense. This type of report would be very useful.

    Thanks for raising the idea via IBM's Aha portal.


    Search on records are conducted in a different way from search on 'monthly' normalised data. We understand the requirement here and will review this in our future road map deliveries. Meanwhile you can try use report 'Account Style Data Extract' to retrieve record level data. This report allows a search criteria of 'Start Period' and 'End Period', which may meet your specific use case here.
