Businesses who use Envizi for energy management, budget tracking and/or for its market-based emissions report and capabilities are often interested in the cost of RECs and equivalents.
These businesses are looking to budget and forecast cost using e.g. their own fixed exchange rates for a whole year, for consistent reporting. The topic was raised with regards to hyperinflation in Argentina, where a custom exchange rate is desirable to make planning more straightforward.
The client would like to either load their own exchange rates, or have them ingested from another software platform that they use, to better suit their reporting needs, consistently with their other teams.

Custom exchange rates are supported in Envizi.
It is an undocumented feature as there is no user interface to allow end users to upload custom exchange rates – it can only be done via a backend loading process.
But once loaded, custom exchange rates will take precedence over Envizi’s standard exchange rates and will be used in most dashboards and reports that involve currency conversions.
The ‘Extract for Currency Rates’ report can be used to view and verify the custom exchange rates used, if any.
We do already support the ability for clients to use their own custom exchange rates. I will leave it to Eugene to provide more detail.
