Here are three reasons below which why clients would benefit from this improvement.
Efficiency: Self service will allow clients to save time and effort, especially for clients managing large portfolios of assets or locations, who are the clients we want to be provided this support too.
Consistency: Bulk creation ensures uniformity in meter setup, reducing the risk of errors or inconsistencies that might occur when setting up meters individually. This consistency is crucial for accurate data collection and analysis.
Scalability: As clients expand their operations or integrate more assets, the ability to create meters in bulk supports scalable growth. It allows for easy adaptation to increasing data demands without overwhelming manual processes.
It is difficult to explain to client that we don't have this capability and puts client-facing people in a difficult position, as admittedly, in the clients eyes, they view this as "core functionality". Maybe we need to make it clearer in our sales documentation?
