Birt report (SVG export) as Additional Application Designer component

As a system administrator
I would like to include a Birt Report output (without navigation, only the report output) in the UI as an SVG/PNG graphic
Such that I can include charts and dynamic graphics in the UI

 

There are various needs to add a graphical component to the UI. 
For example, to display warning icons + color coding on the work order header
For example, to include a advanced KPI chart in the work order list view
For example, to visualize the current+next process steps
(...)

 

Only certain report designs would be allowed (i.e. not an A4 page report) ; without pagination ; etc.
The output is suggested to be SVG and no BIRT navigation would be shown.
The output may be cached for performance reasons.
We should be able to specify dynamic report parameters (i.e. get the "workorderid" from the mbo or get the :&USERNAME& and defsite and pass it to the Birt report.
