createNewWorkorder wsmethod to be implemented at the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) level

In Maximo Web Platform, user is allow to create Work Order from a Service Request.

But this function is not available in Maximo Mobile for EAM.


Understand that there is MAF Configuration tool that allow for customization. So if wanted to add the function by customization, suppose we should use the same process function as Maximo Web Platform instead we write a whole new process function.


So, there is createNewWorkorder wsmethod but unfortunately it is not implemented at the Maximo Integration Framework level.


Please implement it to allow customization can use the standard process function.


Or directly implement the function which allow user to create Work Order from a Service Request while using Maximo Mobile for EAM.

    There is a webmethod createWorkorder (if you'll provide the site) or createNewWorkorder (if you want to use the user's default insert site). The REST API method to call this would look like:
    HTTP Method: POST
    URL (replace the identifier with your SR identifier URL): /maximo/api/os/mxapisr/_U1IvMTAwMQ--?lean=1&action=wsmethod:createNewWorkorder
    Headers:
    x-method-override: PATCH


    You can call this from code in the MAF framework using invokeAction (passing in the item & datasource as arguments) like:

    async createWork(event)

    {

    let item=event.item;

    let datasource=event.datasource;

    let option= {

    record:item

    }

    await datasource.invokeAction("createNewWorkorder",option);

    await datasource.forceReload();

    }

    Thank you for your request. Can you please provide some additional details about what you are trying to accomplish here - whether this is an action you want to add to the SR application, or something from within the Technician WO view? In either case, I don't believe this capability has ever existed for the mobile applications and if it was added it would have to be controlled through security.
