In continuation of the meeting with IBM on 07-April-2022, IBM has suggested to us to provide the problems faced by the users. Below are 2 of them.
Problem 1. When having EDGE and 3G you sometimes get so poor signal that the app is not showing the work orders or inspections. You are online but the app cannot visualize the data. Then you need to go somewhere where you have better connection and try to reload work order list again.
Problem 2. When having EDGE connection user loose connectivity to AD authentication. Then two things might happened. either user get thrown out from the app and get an error Or user do not notice anything and can continue to work like the app is connected, But it is not connected and the data is not transferred to Maximo database.
Thanks for your feedback, unfortunately this item currently available in Anywhere will not be migrated to Maximo Mobile.
Mobile is smarter to detect network conditions, latency and response times to determine automatically if it should workn connected or disconnected. Also the whole user experience was revisited to not wait on server responses except when synchronizing.
Currently this will be the approach and reason why this idea will not be considered as a short term solution in Mobile.
