Support Server Side Search

There are scenarios where a user wants to lookup records that are not yet assigned to them in any capacity. For example, a user may want to search for other open WO against the asset that haven't been assigned. They need to be able to find and modify that record when they have connectivity. Similar to Maximo Anywhere, we should expose search fields (assetnum, location, wonum, etc.) that the user could use one or more of to execute the server-side search. Then the results would be presented to them to act on. A limit could be defined to avoid a user retrieving too many records.

Hello, any expectation when this will be available? Our end-users are asking for it and I can see this Idea was created 9 months ago.

    Best regards,

A Must have functionality for sure. Another use case may be searching for earlier (potentially closed) work orders on the same asset / location. To e.g. check what was done or refer any work logs left by the previous attending crew. Important thing - server side search and device search should be clearly split in the UI so there is no confusion.

This enhancement would provide efficiency gains for us when, for example, a technician is assigned a PM and can discover and complete outstanding CM work orders for the asset at the same time. A great addition to this would be the ability to enter search terms via barcode scan.
