More information on previously completed Work Orders on a Mobile Device

Engineers performing work need to view previously completed work orders against the assets/locations they’re working on. Existing mobile functionality shows the previous 3 work orders against an asset, but only with very limited information such as a Work Order Number and Description, these provide no real business value. Engineers/technicians need to be able to drill in to the previous work orders, specifically looking at parts that were issued and any associated failure reporting (Problem, Cause and Remedy) information. Having such information allows them to better diagnose the reason parts/or the asset may be experiencing repeat failures. Whilst in many organisations there may be processes in place where work can be reviewed in detail before assigning it to an engineer, this is not the case for every organisation, and as such so a change to this functionality could add significant business value.

I agree that at least the basic WO information should be available out of the box such as WorkLog, Failure Report and Actuals (Labor, Materials etc) - Ideally this should be available as a link to a work order details page so customers can then add/remove the details specific to their organisation if this out of the box data is not sufficient but the items mentioned above should be the starting point out of the box. In addition to this it should be available for both the Asset and the Location and the work orders that are downloaded to the device configurable as was the case with Maximo Anywhere so provide a data source object structure query to manage this e.g. last X number of work orders OR last x days of work orders as examples
