Template Issues in Rhapsody in C++

When using RiC++ it is possible to create directed associations to instances of templates. When the equivalent link is created between the respective objects the directed association is not recognised.

It is possible to create a new association in the link and this is remembered but this is not practical in complex designs.

This issue was resolved in RiAda at least 8 years ago.

When the association in a link to an object of a template instance is registered the arrowhead is not shown on the diagram making review more difficult. This affects RiC++ in the case above and RiC++ and RiAda for the case where the association is to an interface and the template inherits the interface. (Note, in this case RiC++ successfully finds the association when creating a link to the object of the template instance.)

Please note this issue has nothing to do with the code generators and frameworks both of which work fine. (when the links are established using a work round the code generates correctly) This problem is in the GUI.

This RFE may be implemented in a forthcoming release or offering when the code generators and frameworks get updated.
