URIs are not included when creating migration packages in DOORS Classic

We are in the process of migrating many existing DOORS Classic projects to DOORS Next. We are doing this with the help of "migration packages". The problem is that it seems that the URIs are not included in the migration packages and once imported in DOORS Next, we need to manually add the URIs what is really time consuming.

Workaround

  • Create a new module in DOORS Classic to hold the attribute and URI definitions

  • Create a single blank object in that module, then export to ReqIF

  • Modify the attributes of type 'text' to 'string' in the ReqIF

  • Import the ReqIF to DOORS Next. This will create the attributes and types in Jazz and preserve the custom URIs

  • To prevent further duplicates, remove any attributes which don't have an RDF URI

  • Import the Migiz to DOORS Next

A better solution (not a workaround) would be appreciated.

Best regards

Janik
