We need more information about the specifics of this issue. If you are configuring communication templates in maximo, then the URL does not need to change. ie,
http://:HOSTNAME/maximo/ui/maximo.jsp?event=loadapp&value=:APP&uniqueid=:OWNERID
is valid for MAS/Manage and should take you to the URL (forcing a login, if required)
It may be that we are missing some additional information not described in the original comment.
To clarify. In your communication template, you are not setting the manage-shell url, but only using the maximo.jsp url? OR if you are using the manage-shell url, then you are not adding #/main part, as adding paramters after the # is dropped when sending to the server (which is why the URL are described in the original comment is losing the context of the app and uid, since the parameters are added after the #/main part of the URL.
This functionality is extremely important to OOB Communication Templates and the MGUEST login feature. This defect priority should be increased to High.
We have teams who log into Maximo specifically when an email is received. The Hyperlink in the template makes the User Experience seamless. This is a must-have feature in Maximo. Without this, in my view, the Maximo product is going backwards.
IBM Team, we need the uniqueid functionality back, how are we supposed to aid the integration process when you jump from one external system to Maximo without the holding-hand task of taking the user directly to an specific record?
