Seamless Navigation Between Route Stops in Maximo: Manage: WOTRACK: Inspection Form using the Graphite View.

Currently, technicians using the Inspection Form application in Maximo's Work Order tracking (Manage application) face challenges with navigating between route stops since the last overhaul. I propose that the Inspection Form application move seamlessly between route stops

Workarounds exist, but they are inefficient and negatively impact performance, rendering route stops virtually unusable.

This feature request proposes adding functionality that allows users to automatically move from one route stop to the next upon completion, without manually navigating back to the Work Order until the end, when the users are brought back to the original WO where they began with their progress saved. This seamless progression would improve workflow efficiency by saving time, reducing errors, and enhancing overall usability without the users needing to log out and back in between route stops.

A permanent solution for route stops is crucial for making this part of Maximo operational and user-friendly once again.

Business Impact:

  • Improved Efficiency: Technicians will complete inspections faster with fewer clicks and less time spent navigating through route stops.
  • Error Reduction: Automating the transition between stops will minimize the risk of missing or duplicating entries.
  • Enhanced Usability: A smoother process will make the Inspection Form application more functional and easier to use, resulting in a better user experience for field technicians.

    Thanks for submitting your Idea!

I was just looking at the request above, and for Mobile Inspections module, we have a functionality called "Batch Inspections", where the user can see all the inspections related to the same WO in a single view on Mobile, making navigation between forms much easier, not requiring to return to the WO page, instead, just clicking 1 button user can just select the next inspection to be executed and start it right away. You need to turn on the system property "mxe.app.workorder.InspectionBatchRecord", assign multiple inspections across the WO record (tasks, multi asset/loc/ci, etc) and check the result on Mobile. You should be able to see the batch record identified by a "+" icon.
