Automatic status sync between work orders (CLOSE and CAN) and inspections (FOR PENDING)

Right now there is no automatic status sync between work orders and inspections. A workorder can be CAN and CLOSE but yet Inspection will still show as PENDING in the Inspection application.


Steps to reproduce:

1.Create a WO, add Inspection form to the Workorder.

2. Change the status to WO so that Inspection Result is created.

3. Change the status of WO to CAN or CLOSE without conducting an Inspection.

Expected:

Inspection is made readonly and the status of Inspection Result is also set to CAN or something other than PENDING if not already INPRG or COMPLETED. Right now with mxe.app.inspection.UpdatePendingResults set to 1, when a form is revised, system will try to update form version on any PENDING Inspections regardless of the workorder being open or not.

    I agree that there needs to be some additional logic here. However, I don't believe a WO should be allowed to be Closed or Cancelled unless all related InspectionResult records have been completed or cancelled. Perhaps a System Property could be included to control this for CLOSE and CAN individually. I could see where some clients may want to Cancel a WO and have that automatically cancel any PENDING Inspections (but not In Progress ones). But those same clients may not want a WO to be Closed with outstanding (not completed or cancelled) Inspections because someone may have forgotten to enter the Inspection Results.

System Property to control whether task/WO completion should be blocked if inspection form not completed

A client has a requirement where the associated inspection form should be completed before the task or work order can be marked as completed by the technician. There doesn't appear to be any base functionality where this can be configured.
