This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

Modify the Anywhere code so that when the lookup refresh process completes it:
1. Stores a “AnywhereLookupTimestamp” field on the user's record (within Maximo) to record when the refresh completed
2. Store an ID that identifies the device e.g. deviceID
This could be in a section specific to Anywhere settings.
This would:
• enable administrators to proactively manage devices and take action to prevent users from experiencing problems e.g. call them to tell them they must update their lookup data.
• Configure alerts so administrators can see devices that are not updating
• Speed up fault investigations by allowing administrators to immediately check if the lookup data is up to date
• Identify the device that the user last used so it can be investigated. This could be very useful if a device is being shared between users (e.g. between team members on different shifts) and some users are complaining of a problem and others aren't
3. Modify the Anywhere code so that it logs the same timestamp (described above) and deviceID to the device's log file when the user logs in.
This will mean that support teams working solely off the logs will also be able to see this information without having to query the database.
This will benefit second line support teams who often have restricted/no access to the customer's system and would have to ask the customer for information. IBM Support would be one support team that would benefit from this.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.I am sorry to inform you that our team has evaluated the request and has determined that it cannot be implemented at this time for Maximo Anywhere. However, it might be something that we can include in our new mobility solution, Maximo Mobile. We truly value your relationship and are committed to providing you with an outstanding experience. Thank you for bringing this idea forward. If you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation.
Thanks Matt and Malc.
IBM Please also consider Matt's suggestion of adding in TWO new fields.
This functionality would make this product easier to support
I think it would make sense to introduce 2 fields - LookupDataLastRefreshStamp and SystemDataLastRefreshStamp since refreshing one does not trigger the other to refresh. It would allow for a more detailed analysis of who has not yet updated.
this is a great idea that helps with working through issues so you know what version of the app the user is on. Also helps when rolling new version out, that it has been downloaded to every device.
