Maximo Anywhere 7.6.4 will not reconnect to VPN on wake up

ENMAX uses a VPN tunnel to allow devices in the field to connect to on-prem servers. When launching Maximo Anywhere IBM Work Technician 7.6.4 on iOS, the application automatically connects to the VPN tunnel, user can login and operate the app normally. When the device goes to sleep for 5/10 minutes though and the user returns to the application, VPN won't re-connect no matter what the user does (navigate to a different page, refresh lookups, run queries, etc.). The only workaround is to go to a different application that's VPN enable, launch it, and then return to the IBM Maximo Anwhere app which can then use the VPN tunnel activated by the other application. I tested an in-house built app (using the container) and also the IBM app from the Apple store. They both have the same issue. All other ENMAX mobile apps can re-connect automatically to the VPN, including Maximo Anywhere 7.6.3 old apps.

Version of mobile app is 7.6.4; iOS 13.5. See screenshots and also iOS console logs right after the device wakes up.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The offering team has carefully reviewed this idea and has decided that it does not fit into our current plans, so the idea will be closed. The requested functionality is being reviewed as things move to thge new Maximo Mobile. The idea will be kept in IBM's ideas repository and may still be voted on. It might be reassessed or reopened for additional feedback in the future. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us the privilege of partnering with you in developing our products.
