In EWM work items, there is an nice function for creating a work item template,
which offers project members an easy way to create similar work items.
But there is a problem with the required permissions.
Due to the way these work item templates are created and saved in the project area, two “Admin” permissions are required:
* Process, Modify Process Specification
* Process: Modify collections of process attachments
In particular, the authorization: “Process, modify process specification”, allows the user to change many settings in the project area.
In most organizations, normal team members not have this type of permission and should not have it. In addition, some industrial compliance rules force companies to grant users only a minimum level of permissions depending on their process role. This requires a clear separation between a project member who edits the content as work items and a project administrator who is responsible for the administrative settings.
The current implementation would override this separation and a normal project employee would be granted a great deal of admin rights.
Proposal:
Keep the function: Create work item template
but rework of the background behavior
that no administrator permissions are required to use this function
