Mobile - Remote log collection (for locked down devices/multi user shared devices etc...) alternative to emailing logs to support.

Because the devices are shared multi user devices (we use Android currently) on a Work Profile [https://support.google.com/work/android/answer/6191949?hl=en]. We are limited to specific applications (no email, no text pad etc...). The users do not have the ability to email logs out on the locked down devices. Devices are shared and not assigned to a specific user/groups of users.

It would be helpful if they could request the server to pull the device logs for collection or something similar to this when they run into an issue or are requested to my support.

E.G. (User is having issues and have selected the appropriate log level as per Maximo Application support)

1) The user could initiate/queue the logs for pickup from the server from the device.

2) Maximo Application support could identify devices & maximo user profiles and put a request to collect the logs from the device from Maximo Mobile for that specific user profile.

3) The logs could be saved to a UNC path for collection.

This would allow us to collect and review the logs remotely in order to provided troubleshooting support remotely.

** This functionality should also keep in mind a user could queue the logs when offline for collection when they are online again should an error occure.

***This functionality should have a system properties that allows for the maximum #  of logs to be queued per user  and  # of days before old collections are cleaned up. We don't want a user to hit the queue up 20 times and fill up devices memory etc. and we only want to keep 90 days of logs before auto cleaning them up on the server side of things.

It should be easy for application support to collect and maintain the logs as required.

Thanks

Since multi-user Android tablets do not support apps like Teams, Outlook, etc, users cannot send the app's logs in a feasible manner. This is a possibility with IOS devices, but not with Android ones. Ideally, the logs would be stored inside the d...
