This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The current sync mechanisms used for Spatial are flawed:
PROCESSEDFLAG: modifies our GIS data via ArcObjects -- which means our edit tracking functionality becomes compromised. We don't want Maximo to update the GIS edit tracking -- because we use edit tracking for other things (to track when a GIS user last edited the feature).
And using the cron task's last run time is flawed too. There are cases where the cron task runs, but doesn't actually do anything (doesn't sync the GIS data to Maximo). If that happens, there will be features that get missed/never get synced to Maximo.
"If connectivity failed for example (bad username/password, site down, etc.), the cron task would still record that it ran."
Could IBM please provide an improved sync mechanism for Spatial?

For the described scenario you can use the LASTSUCCESSFULSTARTTIME keyword.
The difference between Cron Task attributes LASTRUNTIME and LASTSUCCESSFULSTARTTIME is that the former is just the last time the Cron ran. The latter is the last time the Cron ran without any errors. So if the network is down the Cron will error but the data is still being updated in ESRI - when the network returns we want to pick up records from just before the network went down.
Does it help?
