Workspace IBM MAS - Spatial
Created by Guest
Created on Aug 24, 2018

Maximo Create (Spatial) functionality menu is visible inside the Locations MAP tab

Selecting a group of Locations or Assets to then be able to create their corresponding Work Orders, only creates the WO for the first record and not for the others. This happens when the menu navigation is used inside the Location or Asset for Create (Spatial). If the same menu is used in the List Tab, then the behavior works correctly.

1. Go to -> Locations -> search Description: W560
There are 9 rows returned
2. Select 3 of those records, W-BEACON, W-MAINST, W-OAKST
Go to the first record -> Map TAB
3. More Actions -> Create (Spatial) -> There are two choices: Work Order with All Records or Work Order for Each Record
4. Select Work Order for Each Record -> Are you sure you would like a WO for each record? Yes
BMXAS0344I - All Work Orders were created. Would you like to go to the Work Order Tracking application? Yes
5. Took me to Work Order Tracking -> WO 1210 for W-Beacon
There are no further WOs for W-MAINST or W-OAKST

CONCLUSION: Incorrect Behavior

Run similar test only generated the WO at the List menu stage
Go to -> Locations -> search Description: W560
There are 9 rows returned
Select 3 of those records, BLK1000, BLK2000, BLK3000
Work Order for Each Record
Work Order Application shows 3 WOs 1211, 1212, 1213 created for each location

CONCLUSION: Correct Behavior
